Give gifts from the heart this Valentine’s Day with this list of DIY gifts. From homemade lip balms to red velvet hot chocolate, I’ve got you covered.

Making a gift for your dude? Paint a mug with loveable phrases, inside jokes, monogram, favorite sports team/movie/whatever and fill it with a bag full of homemade hot cocoa mix and marshmallows. Heck maybe he’d enjoy some manly peppermint lip balm too.
Wanna go crazy and make gifts for your friends? Doodle hearts onto the mugs and fill with a bag of chai tea mix, homemade chocolate lip balm, and some sparkly hair ties. I’m tempted to make myself the same combo.

1. DIY Anthropologie-Inspired Confetti Tumblers – Grab some paint markers and speckle some tumblers for fun cocktail glasses.

2. DIY Gold Confetti Napkins – Similar technique as the glasses but now on reusable fabric napkins.

3. DIY Hair Ties – I tend to be a black/white or metallic accessory person so that’s what I used but you can use more festive colors like red, pink, and/or glittery elastic.

4. DIY Heart Shoe Clips – Easily turn your favorite shoes into festive attire with these easy to make and cute heart shoe clips.

5. DIY Marbled Clay Ring Dish – Again, I made mine with black/white clay and metallics but feel free to make them as colorful as you desire. You can even use a heart-shaped cookie cutter.

6. DIY Painted Mugs – Free hand or use stencils to paint hearts or loveable phrases onto your mugs of choice.

7. DIY Word Magnets – Another opportunity for loveable phrases/words but this time in magnet form to create your own phrases. You can also change up the color scheme with whatever clay you pick.

8. Homemade Hot Cocoa Mix – Paired with a painted mug? And I have so many flavor options for you: Classic, Brownie, Cake Batter, Chai, Cinnamon, Dark Chocolate, Malted, Matcha, Peanut Butter, Red Velvet, and Salted Caramel.

9. Homemade Hot Cocoa Bombs – Same as above but in bomb form for a fun little drinking experience. Again with different flavor options like Buckeye, Red Velvet, and White Chocolate. Maybe pair it with a sugar cookie spoon.

10. Homemade Vanilla Chai Tea Mix – But wait! I have plenty of non-chocolate people in my life that would love to have some homemade chai mix instead of hot cocoa.

11. Homemade Marshmallows – You can’t have hot cocoa without marshmallows! Depending on the hot cocoa flavor you could make Cream Cheese, Peanut Butter, or Peppermint.

12. Homemade Vanilla Extract – This one takes a little bit of time so make it now! But it’s the gift that keeps on giving because if you leave the beans in the jar they can refill and extract again.

13. Lip Balms – Pucker up and protect those lips with some homemade lip balm.

14. Spice Mixes – Have a cook in your life? What about a homemade blend for Taco Seasoning, Guacamole, or Ranch?

My husband just asked me what I wanted for Valentine’s Day this year and it was all about the chocolate. Bars and hot chocolate please!
