Even though I grew up in the North, I never liked iced tea. I must have retained some of my southern-ness from being born in TX even though I only lived there the first 3 years of my life (or it’s because I grew up on Kool-Aid), because sweet tea? Now that’s good stuff.

Sure I’ll drink hot tea when I am feeling under the weather (I do love my cast iron tea pot), but if it’s cold it better have a decent amount of sugar in it. Or have some sweet lemonade mixed into it to make an Arnold Palmer.

My dad drinks Arnold Palmers so when I received bags of apple cider tea from The Republic of Tea for #FallFlavors week I immediately knew what to make. This apple cider version of an Arnold Palmer is the perfect refreshing beverage to help us cope with the end of summer with the comforting flavors of fall.

While I could have used store bought lemonade, I figured since I was making the tea myself I may as well make the lemonade as well. It’s as simple as mixing lemon juice, water, and plenty of sugar (I used honey). Then just add in the chilled apple cider tea!

This recipe was made with The Republic of Tea’s hot apple cider tea and Melissa’s Produce Meyer lemons and fuji apples.

I’ve never been a huge Arnold Palmer fan, but this one I could get behind and enjoy. I love all the flavors in there.
