Pizza Bagels

Preparing for my Graduate Seminar presentation doesn’t really allow me to cook/bake as much as I typically do. In time crunches I try to make fun things out of leftovers I have. And it helps clean out the fridge!

I made this for just myself, since I am still without Brent to cook for for another 7 days (but he did have flowers sent to me at work yesterday. So pretty!! :-D). I trust you know your multiplication tables in order to figure out how to make this for several people. But maybe you are like me, trying to find recipes for one. In that case if your math skills are atrocious it makes no difference! I’m so considerate.

Ingredients:

1 bagel, sliced in half (I used an Asiago Bagel)

1/4 cup pizza sauce

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Desired toppings

Pinch of oregano

Directions:

  1. Heat toaster oven (or regular oven for larger batches) to 400 degrees.
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place bagels slices, cut side up, on the prepared sheet. Spread on sauce, cheese and any other desired toppings (all I had was turkey pepperoni). Sprinkle with oregano.
  3. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
  4. Dinner is served!!
