For all you Greek yogurt lovers out there, Liz at Little Bitty Bakes is your girl. Some of my favorite CHOrific recipes of hers include Cinnamon Toast Crunch Banana Bread, Birthday Cake Oreo Cookies, and Syracuse Macaroni & Cheese. Not only does Liz post CHOrific recipes, she has also just recently published an e-cookbook called Sweet with Greek. One year ago: Blueberry Blondie Cheesecake Bars

Hey there, Spiffy Cookie readers! I’m Liz from Little Bitty Bakes, and I’m glad to be filling in for Erin today. Erin and I actually have a lot in common! There’s the obvious fact that we both love baking, but also, we both spent a large portion of our lives in upstate New York. And we’ll soon have one more thing in common, but Erin doesn’t know it yet. <– that probably has Erin stumped, but she’ll understand in about a month. :)
Anywho… if you don’t know me, here’s the quick elevator speech: I’m an athlete whose reliance on food turned into a passion for baking and most recently, a love for Greek yogurt. :)
After enjoying Greek yogurt for a couple years as a low fat, high-protein breakfast, lunch or snack, I decided to start experimenting with adding the yogurt to my baking recipes. The results have been amazing — Greek yogurt has a way of making a baked good rich in flavor, while keeping them fairly healthy. Or, maybe I should say, healthier. A cookie can only be so healthy when you eat it with ice cream. ;)
In honor of my love of Greek yogurt and my recently published e-book, Sweet with Greek, I thought I’d share with you guys some of my favorite sweet Greek yogurt recipes from my blog. Enjoy!
Peanut Butter Yogurt Pie: peanut butter and Greek yogurt — that’s all you need for this thick and creamy pie filling!
Chocolate Chip Cake Cookies: the flavor of chocolate chip cookies with the texture of cake — it’s the best of both worlds!
Strawberry Banana Upside Down Cake: this is one of the most moist cakes I’ve ever made, thanks to the Greek yogurt and fruit. Perfect for a summer dessert!
Mini Passion Fruit CHOcakes: these tiny treats are like little cheesecake bites, but so much lighter, which of course means you can pop a few of ’em!
Chocolate Cherry Oatmeal Cookies: the softest, chewy oatmeal cookie, full of chocolate and sweet cherries. They’re one of my cookie favorites!
There you have it — some of my favorite sweet recipes using Greek yogurt. If you haven’t tried using Greek yogurt in your recipes yet, you definitely should! For more ideas, check out my CHOrific recipes series (can you tell I’m partial to Chobani yogurt?!) or purchase my e-book!
Thanks, Erin, for letting me fill in for you for a day!
