They were amazing! I did leave out the butter flavoring and did not feel it was missed. My daughter does not normally like coconut and she even loved them. I will definitely be making these again – thanks for the recipe!

It depends, how much molasses are you wanting to add? Adding too much liquid in place of the sugar (which I assume is what you are wanting to do, substitute for the sugar) will change the consistency of the dough and may require more flour to compensate.

They are wonderful. I made only one minor adjustment. I didn’t have butter flavoring, so I used coconut extract instead. I was reading the other responses, and thought about chocolate… perhaps as a ganache drizzle… but these are so good it might only be gilding the lily! Anyway, the cookies are great. I am putting together a box to send Alison and these are going right in!
