Today is National Chip and Dip dayand while chips are not the first thing that come to mind when presented with this Oreo dip it’s halfway there right? As you can see I did not make this Oreo dip with the traditional cookie. Instead I made it with one of the limited flavors I found which were golden Oreos with a fruity crisp creme filling (think Fruity Pebbles or Froot Loops). I struggled for a long time trying to decide what to do with those Oreos, besides stuffing them into my face one by one. This utility turned out to be a winner. Obviously you can make this dip with any flavor Oreo you happen upon so the possibilities are endless. There’s even a new golden Oreo out right now with Peeps flavored filling for Easter.

OREO CHEESECAKE FRUIT DIP
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup heavy cream, plus more if needed
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
8-10 Oreos in any flavor, crushed (I used fruity crisp golden Oreos)
- In a medium bowl, cream together the cream cheese and powdered sugar. Add the heavy cream and vanilla and beat until smooth. Add more heavy cream to reach desired consistency. Fold in the crushed Oreos. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Serve with fresh fruit, vanilla wafers, more Oreos, or your favorite dippers.
