Haha yay fig pizzas! And I think your husband is the first man I’ve heard of that doesn’t like bacon (other than vegetarians). Hope you can sway him with the applewood-smoked bacon. Then again if he doesn’t then it’s all for you ;-)

I did look up figs, and you are right, except that by the time we eat them, those inverted flowers have fruits inside. I really like the sound of this pizza, but am not sure I’ll get to make it, since I would be subjecting my husband to flavors (like bacon) that he’s not fond of. Actually, he’ll try just about anything once and if he doesn’t like it, I’d have a couple of lunches. And applewood-smoked bacon is a big help, at least in my opinion. So we’ll see if I get it made.
