Who knew making this peanut butter and dark chocolate fudge could be so easy? Just 2 minutes in the microwave and a couple hours in the fridge for this deliciousness!

For today’s Peanut Butter and Chocolate Saturday I am sharing an easy recipe for fudge. Oddly enough I was not a big fan of fudge until I discovered the kind with peanut butter. Just proves how much I am NOT a true chocolate lover. I like it as a contributing flavor instead of the star.

Easy Peanut Butter and Dark Chocolate Fudge

I find normal chocolate fudge to be too sweet, which is why I especially love that this fudge is made with dark chocolate because it tones down the sweetness even more. But if you’re over there shaking your head at me in disbelief because you actually prefer more chocolate try my magic chocolate walnut fudge.

In other news, we may be playing Iowa but I am attending to more important things today – being a proud bridesmaid in my friend Amber’s wedding! I am actually wearing a red/maroon dress which was completely unintentional (I actually was originally hoping to find an olive colored dress).

Nutrition facts: 200 calories 20 grams fat

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 Tbsp dark cocoa powder
  • 1 cup peanut butter chips
  • 1 Tbsp creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup dry-roasted peanuts, chopped
  • Chocolate sprinkles, optional

Directions

  1. Line an 8x8-inch pan with wax paper.
  2. In a medium, microwave-safe bowl, combine 9 tablespoons (7 ounces) sweetened condensed milk with dark chocolate chips and cocoa powder.  Microwave on high for 1 minute.  Stir until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth.  Pour into the prepared pan and spread evenly.  Place in the fridge while you prepare the peanut butter layer.
  3. Wipe out the safe bowl, and combine remaining sweetened condensed milk with peanut butter chips and peanut butter.  Microwave for 1 minute, stir until mostly melted.  Add vanilla and stir until smooth.  Pour over chocolate layer and spread evenly.  Sprinkle with peanuts and gently press in.  Place in the fridge for 2 hours to harden. Cut and enjoy!

[…] As for the walnuts, the recipe states 1/2-1 cup but as a nut lover I actually used a heaping cup. Even then I honestly would have preferred even more nuts, but I also am not a huge chocolate fan by itself so I realize I may be in the minority. Which if you are a fellow nut lover you should also try my peanut butter and dark chocolate fudge. […]

I’m not a huge fan of fudge, but it’s Shane’s favorite. This flavor combo is right up his alley too – going on my to-do list!
